Kansas, Oklahoma & Gulf 1545

a KO&G Steel, Center Cupola (SCC) caboose.

Sold to the Roscoe, Pacific and Snyder Railway before getting it's MP number, KO&G 1545 became RS&P 9. It was later sold off and was in Austin, Texas before being lost to us. It again appeared in Blackwell where it was bought by John Salisbury who moved it into San Angelo where it it is currently stored. It is believed it will eventually find it's way to San Antonio. Thanks go to John for the photo of his fine purchase. A very rare caboose.

"All work was performed by employees of Trans-Texas Rail shop in San Antonio, TX, and JFS Railcar, LLC of Independence, MO. The caboose was not restored, but received only the following exterior treatments: sand blasted, primed, repainted, and had the under-cupola storage cabinet removed from one side of the interior. JFS Railcar facilitated and participated in the loading onto the flatcar on UPRR at San Antonio, where the photos were taken."
