Missouri Pacific 13333

a Standard Steel Riveted (SSR) caboose

Back in 1990 I wrote Mr Bale about his recent purchase and he was kind enough to send these shots.   Little did I know at the time how handy they'd be.   Here is MP 13333 being readied for the move to it's new home.   A couple of things worth noteing are the white roof and the double heralds.   The MP was going to white roofs on some of their cabooses prior to the merger with the UP.   The double herald is just an oddity.   The caboose appears to be in original paint and decals.

For those of you that have never been to the oil fields, the equipment seen in these shots is a typical oil field winch truck and float (in this case a three axle lowboy).   I drove a similar rig while working at Fort Lupton, Colorado in the early 80's.
