Missouri Pacific 13697

a Long Bay Window (LBW) caboose.

Mr Daniel was able to provide me with a series of photos of the moving of his caboose from the salvage yard in Nevada, Missouri to it's present location in Udall, Kansas.   It's real nice of Mr Daniel to share his photos with us on this site.
Thank You.

Here we see it arrive at it's home, get unloaded and set and then the scrubbing with the power washer.   Doesn't look bad for just getting a cleaning.   Sure beats painting!

Still looking good in Udall, Kansas is this former MP Long Bay Window caboose.   Mr Daniel has made some changes in the caboose which you can see in these shots.   Mainly it is in the windows.   He has opened up some of the closed windows, enlarged the openings some and installed regular windows for insulation.   He is reworking the interior to make it work for his use so the appliances are being removed.

Look on page 113 of your copy of
"Cabooses of the Missouri Pacific Lines"
for some really nice "in serivce" shots of this caboose.
